A Great Afternoon of Food, Fun, and All That Jazz

Posted On: 09/15/2015

Village at Griesbach’s second Jazz in The Park event was hosted Saturday, September 12, in the community’s beautiful, 24 acre, Central Hill Park. We would like to thank everyone that attended for making the event another huge success! Over 700 people joined in the fun of this sunny September afternoon to share their love for great music, some superb Parisian bistro treats and this preferred award winning family community in north Edmonton.

Live Jazz Filled The Air

An eclectic collection of classic jazz favorites and new editions were performed by the renowned Erica Dawn Quartet from Edmonton. The lead singer and many of her band members are graduates of the MacEwan University Fine Arts Program and are favorites around the city at various clubs, festivals and special events. They performed many genres including classic, modern, South American, and blues tunes much to the delight of young and old alike.

A Perfect Afternoon

At 28 degrees, you could not ask for better weather to be lazing in the magnificent Central Hill Park. This spectacular amenity in the heart of Village At Griesbach offers spectacular city views from its observatory at Summit Point. People strolled the hill side, took family photos to share at the LOVE stage and kids were able to run wild with balloons and enjoy some good outdoor fun in the park. A balloon twister was on site to ensure every child had a personal reminder of this great afternoon.

Central Hill Park

Central Hill Park is just the latest in Village at Griesbach's award winning lifestyle amenities. It’s wonderful viewing summit is complemented by winding paths and tree-lined trails that connect it with the world famous City of Edmonton path and trail system. The park also features a playground, picnic sites and public garden plots, where residents can grow fruits and vegetables. At 24 acres it's one of Edmonton’s largest public parks and natural areas.

Five Award Winning Show Homes

Guests also visited the Village’s award winning show homes. These classically designed yet state-of-the-art built homes were busy all day, with families imagining themselves residing in such spectacular living spaces. They were also the entry point for an enter to win contest for dinner at The Creperie.
